There are many products out there to repair these types of cracks in plastic. We have had good results with 3M Structural Adhesive 08101.

You will mix equal parts of a two part system then apply to the cracks with the mixing stick. You don't have to make it look pretty at this point.

Once the adhesive has been worked into the v-grooves we earlier carved, it is smoothed with a putty spreader. We will allow it to set up overnight before skimming it with a putty coat. The adhesive doesn't sand well at all so we will need this top coat of putty to produce a smooth surface. The adhesive is only to structurally repair the split.

The same feathering treatment is given to the rear removing nicks, scratches and loose paint.

Roll on primer is used. This phase of the bodywork is just sizing up the repair process. The roll on primer allows us to easily apply primer without having to mask off the car since there is zero overspray and it saves the trouble of going in and out of the spray booth.
