Unfortunately I only have the valve cover above as a before picture but it is very representative of the overall appearance of the engine before I started.

In this restoration I was dealing with an engine that just needed cosmetic restoration. The engine was running very well but needed some parts.

This car was missing the radiator shroud and needed a new power steering pump as well as a water pump. I found it much easier to restore by totally removing the radiator to get to all the brackets.

I used a "Detail Clear" from Eastwood to spruce up the alternator and all wiring including the coil. Additionally I replaced the battery cables extending and relocating the ground cable to give a more clean appearance.

The battery tray had to be chiseled out and the car was equipped with all new hoses, clamps, plugs, thermostat and housing, and anything else that looked like it might be trouble.

All parts, pulley's, and brackets were sandblasted and repainted with correct color Old Ford Blue paint and high heat satin black. I ordered a decal kit and new washer bag from Mustangs Unlimited to give the finishing touches to the engine. New valve cover gaskets as well as all new belts were installed prior to installing new radiator shroud and assembling. This project took about 60 hours to complete including taking apart, blasting, and re-assembly.
